Inspiration: Berthe Morisot and Manet by Caroline Champetier

Pink Rose and Brioche on Blue and White Still Life, Oil on 6 "x6"   Linen Panel SOLD Private Residence in Sydney,  Australia    Yes, it finally arrived! I love, love, love beautiful, romantic movies allow me to imagine that I could be transported to their time. Berthe Morisot and Manet by Caroline Champetier  is such a movie. It's been on my list of "wants" that I keep for my husband for a long while, but he seemed to have a hard time finding it as it was a made-for-TV French movie.            Well, not too long ago, I was surprised with it and I've watched it several times since. It is in French with no subtitles, so I can make guesses as to what they are saying. It's helped that I've read a great deal on both artists and that the movie is gorgeous, so I can't take my eyes off of it to get clues. The painting above is inspired by this beautiful movie, which I am still pinching myself to make sure that I do really get to watch it.
